American Half Quarter Horse Transfer of Ownership Request

Step 1: You MUST have a current AHQHR membership to transfer ownership and receive your horse’s registration papers in your name. If you are not an active member, you can join or renew your membership below.

Step 2: Once you are finished filling out the transfer of ownership report, simply ask the seller of the horse to do the same. PLEASE NOTE: The seller does not need to be a member of AHQHR to complete this process and the transfer of ownership dues are the buyers responsibility.

Step 3: Once both parties have completed and signed the transfer of ownership, the transfer will be placed in pending status. The horse’s original papers need to be mailed to the AHQHR to complete the process. Our mailing address is:

Step 1: For your convenience, the AHQHR Transfer of Ownership can be completed online. Simply fill out this form in its entirety and sign. Your online signature constitutes as a legal binding signature.

Please upload a copy your 4-H or FFA Card, School ID, Drivers License, Birth Certificate, Passport or other ID to prove you are under the age of 18 at the time of membership.
This is the name that your membership will be listed under in the membership directory. It can be your farm, ranch, business or family's name.
Please list the full name, date of birth and relationship to the primary member each on a separate line below.

I/we, (seller) certify that the above named horse is the one registered with AHQHR, that the current registration certificate has been delivered to the buyer and I/we authorize transfer of ownership.
Buyer's signature certifies that the above named horse was purchased from seller on the date indicated. Buyer understands registration will be finalized once the original papers are received by AHQHR.

IMPORTANT: You DO NOT need a Paypal account to complete this transaction. Upon clicking “submit” you will be redirected to Paypal’s secure online payment portal. If you do not have a Paypal account, click the link for “Pay with a debit or credit card” and you can make your payment using any major credit or debit card. Your information is secure and will not be stored within the AHQHR or Paypal database.
